I reckon Vettel settled for a second place....that damn pit stop killed it...in such a close contest in regards to performance that was a massive setback....Or have I spoken to early????
You're right but Vettel had nothing for Alonso in the last stint. Even in the high speed sector 2(copse,maggots etc.)Alonso was pulling 7 tenths a lap according to thee F1.com live timing app
Alonso was absolutely flying!!! Ferrari and Mclaren have certainly improved...or was the diffuser issue playing a part?
Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

great win for alonso, best driver out there.

Vettel proves he still can't overtake whilst it was disgraceful that Webber was not allowed to challenge him.

Hamilton should get a penalty for that hit on Massa.

Alonso wins thanks to the FiA and Red Bull screwing up a stop. [...] I wonder if Vettel had a bad set of tyres or also had to save fuel. Nice scrap between Massa and Hamilton. Amazing that Schumacher still collected points on P9.

He desereves it after his remarks here last year. In F1 the TEAM is always first.

'Maintain the gap' = 'Let Michael past for the Championship'

Good job by Hamilton, though I (alas) see a penalty...

Sad day for Button; another British dissapointment for him...

Also a good day for Schumi- where might he have been if he hadn't had the penalty? I think it was a bit harsh- it looked like he went over a puddle or something, but oh well- he beat Rosberg, didn't he? Pretty amazing if you think about it!

thanks for ruining a potentially epic final sector Red Bull...once again Mark's the number 2 driver though he clearly had the pace. I reckon the stewards have to review the Massa / Hamilton incident just to maintain precedent, not saying they should do anything about it because what would they do? Give Hamilton a time penalty then give Massa one for gaining an advantage by leaving the track??

You can't at least admit that the Ferrari was peerless in the last stint? Is your bias that bad?
Kinda sad really. We haven't seen the "bad set of tires killing my lap-times" scenario once on the Pirelli's yet hear you come with your typical BS giving Vettel a false excuse

Horner now playing the team line having always said they were a team that let their drivers race. Utter lying coward.

Whenever Vettel's spoon falls out of his mouth, WhiteBlue charges in with a bowl of sour grapes.

Please tell us how "Maintain the gap, Mark" was actually not a team order. Would love to hear that.

BTW, it was epic how the superb Vettel with a clearly faster car could not overtake Hamilton on track.

Would love to hear your take on that as well, especially seeing how Alonso DID manage.

I suspect our resident Vettel bum boy (aka Andrew) will still defend those team orders.

Indeed he was all over Hamilton, yet it took him 8 laps or so to overtake him, great driver you got, only good when everything goes perfect and he comes first thorought the corner.

Ow yes, he also became second because he needed a team order to keep Webber behind...

EDIT: Fixed it, sorry zeph

Alonso would have won despite the red bull screw up,clearly the fastest man out there today...
So, you'd rather think that Vettel finished second because he maybe had a bad set of tires or had to save fuel, than admit he and his car just weren't fast enough today...?
