Oh yeah, cos he wont get team orders there.
At least Ferrari does not beat around the bush. And I think Alonso and Webber are buddies, so it would be a different game altogether. RBR has unequivocally shafted Webber on quite a few occasions, and then say he gets equal treatment.

Oh and for those banging on about Webber losing a place due to team orders, Mark Webber said after the race he ignored the team as he is not fine with team orders: "I kept battling to the end".

Conslusion: he was not quick enough.

Great drive from Alonso. He was blindingly quick although I still think needs to give Hamilton a pint for slowing Vettel up for so long.

Vettel was decidely average and needed help from Horner to keep second - "what's best for the team" is rubbish when the team gets the same number of points either way. What was interesting was that he went by Massa quite easily at the exact spot where he pulled back from the same move on Hamilton. I wonder if Vettel might just be a bit wary of Hamilton and knows that you have to take the place - it's never given. With Massa he looked happier to go for it.

Webber had a mixed race - quick at the end but a bit strangely off-pace at times earlier.

Great drive by Hamilton - the opening mixed conditions laps showed his real class. His overtake of Alonso on the wet line in to Copse on slicks was balls-out stuff. The car advantage of the Red Bulls (and Ferrari) was nullified by the conditions and it showed. Shame about the need to fuel save - it removed another possible result for the race. Would have been fascinating to watch the Red Bulls trying to get by in that case. Hamilton likely to get a slap for his jokes about the stewards after the race following previous quips.

Solid work by Massa - shame he turned in just a tad too early in to the last corner or he'd have had Hamilton cleanly.

Button was fairly quiet today. Nothing special in the early mixed conditions and was even overtaken by his team mate. He came alive once the track dried and he got on slicks - his Stowe move on Massa was classic. Shame he had the wheel nut issue - the team would have loved those points.

Schuie's penalty was overkill by the stewards in my opinion for the conditions.

All in all a great race from the revised Silverstone.

W02 much easier on the rear tires after these upgrades.

and WOW Michael was rakes over the coals with that penalty. Mansell really has an axe to grind for Michael.

Damn it! I had to work and missed the first part of the race.
What happened with Schumi - I heard he had a great drive but a penalty set him back.
What happened?

At least he was good enough to finish in points. I wonder where he could have finished had that penalty not given to him.

If he were the only steward then you might have a point. As he isn't the only steward then you don't have a point. #-o

MS says the accident was his fault, just going too fast out of the DRS zone

He had a collision with Kobayashi if I'm not mistaken(It was a Sauber). The incident destroyed Schumacher's front wing and the Sauber went turned around on the track.

Agreed. It annoys me that Horner says there are no team orders and assumes we're stupid enough to believe him.
I'd rather he was honest and just came out and said 'Yes there are team orders, Seb is our no. 1 driver and gets preference'
Stop bulls****ing us Horner!
Great drive from Fred today, he really showed his class in a car that's still not as good as the RB!
I'm hoping that Ferrari can keep up this momentum and we can have a bit of excitement injected back into the competition. I'd like to be able to see just how good of a driver Seb is. It's been difficult to tell while he's been in a car that is just so much better than the rest of the field. It was nice not having to watch him wave his finger in front of everyone today.

I concede that the botched up pitstop robbed him of what looked like another easy win, but I'm still waiting for your explanation of how Vettel could not overtake Hamilton on track when he clearly had a faster car.
