RedBull is hiding 0.4 seconds! We got this! Hamilton and Alonso are not fast enough to combat us in qually!

Good, if the rest of the races are anything like Germany, we're in for a hell of a "rest of the season". Additionally, since Mercedes is good with top speed, they could be a dark horse for the next two races (Spa, and Monza)

I wouldn't be surprised if Red Bull did manage to snatch pole, but like in Germany I think this is going to be a really close race and not the walk in the park it was last year. Likewise it'll be interesting to see if Webber has the measure of Vettel. I reckon it'll be close but he has a real shot at it. Vettel just looks a little off colour at the moment, surprisingly like Jenson in the second half of his championship winning season. I guess that the teams and other drivers have now all adjusted to the new rules and tyres and now that it's not plain sailing he's being put under pressure (probably by himself as well) to dominate as he was earlier in the year, and he doesn't have that advantage any more.

Possibly, but a bit early to judge- last race was only his first time finishing below the top two. Maybe it was a one-off.

Alonso said he struggled more then most in Sector 3.
How would you describe Sector 3?

Edit: Just checked and it seems Nando has problems with slow corners?
Did not expect him to struggle there as it has pretty good traction the car and is good on the brakes.
The truth will come out...

For quali imho red bull and especially Vettel are still favourites. Remember last weekend how the practise results were misleading (well at least for McLaren). We've seen so many times how front running teams other than red bull seemed so promising during fridays but well off their pace come saturday and sunday. Have to wait until quali is over.

Fred is a talkative guy!
I mostly think he is blowing smoke, but he does say that the track was very dirty, and implies the car will handle better when it rubbers in

That being said means that the rest of them were driving on a dirty track as well... So that magic grip will not come to Fred only. :P

Either the track is dirtier than last year
or the Pirelli's aren't as good here
or fuel loads are higher than last year.

It's also worth noting that (after digging up in the archives :p) air temperatures for last years Friday session topped out around 22-23 degrees, so that's not causing the difference.

Wow; I certainly didn't expect Red Bull to be in the pack like this. I mean; last year everyone acknowledged that their draggy chassis didn't matter here; and S2 was perfect for their downforce... but this... :wtf:
