Richards and some financial backing may buy Renault?
Says it all really. I think it's beginning to dawn on everyone that the Group Lotus money is non-existent and they have no plan whatsoever. Apart from that I think the infrastructure and technical nucleus of the team is actually pretty decent.Ten Hoopen continued: "I think it is pretty much a mess within that team (Renault). Put it this way, it is clear in terms of Lotus-Renault that many things remain unclear.
I wonder how much of their driver choice involves budgeting for the 10th place prize money. Say if Virgin or HRT get a 12th place finish & pip them to 10th would they need to consider a driver that brings in sponsorship money (which according to the linked articles include Sutil, van der Garde, Bianchi & Pic) or does Trulli bring in a fair bit too?Donuts wrote:Does'nt anyone else think that it's a disaster for the sport that Team Lotus has retained Jarno Trulli for next year!? There are many drivers in F1 that should be dropped for young talents and I think Jarno Trulli is on top of that list!
From what I understand, Adrian Sutil has no sponsorship money for next year, Medion(which sponsor him with about $ 1.2 million) is on the verge of filing for bancruptcy. This togheter with his poor performance compared to Paul di Resta may be an opening for Nico Hulkenberg.thelimey wrote:I wonder how much of their driver choice involves budgeting for the 10th place prize money.
