Finally someone broke the finger in a saturday session.Props for pole to Hamilton who showed again what kind of a beast is when he is on his mind balance.Loved the reaction inside and outside the cockpit...Totally my style as if i was in his place i would do just the same.He got the message delivered...No ya-ba-da-doo's and raising fingers. =D>

Another great lap from SV also and a bit of a let down from JB not locking the front row...He is bloody a good driver but not a match for a (collected) Hamilton.

Yep. That's what I've been saying for a while. Button is being made to look awesome by the fact that Lewis hasn't been on form for a while.

Did he have to be so grim though? I mean, lighten up a bit, Lewis!

I dont think his current mental state allows him to cheer up just yet...But fortunately for him and for us it allows him to deliver.Personally i'd rather see him a bit grim but set the track on fire.It nice to see that he looks like he has collected his pieces,it would be a shame for such a talented driver as himself to lose his mojo in such a sad way.

It's actually a low abrasion surface, so low wear, but because it is so slippy in places it has the potential to cause tyre problems.

Loooooooooooong overdue. Lewis looked really crestfallen though. It seems the recent races have taken their toll on him. Tomorrow it'll be a much greater challenge for him given he's not the best in conserving tyres... IMHO his best chance will be to go flat out from the start and hope Button and Vettel keep each other busy.

Yes we saw graining with Bridgestones last year; though it never affected them as the rain stopped that. But when have we seen these Pirellis grain this year? Canada (which I would bet is probably an even smoother surface) was a cakewalk for the tyres; based on free practice long runs

OK. Now that is out of the way (I hope I have not offended anyone by celebrating - guys so touchy nowadays reporting me and shizzle).

Looking down the field, very disappointed with the no runs.
Hoping for a good force India and Rosberg race. Rosberg has been so unlucky as of late.

Btw guys how much an engine track is this? three fairly long straights here.

S1 is very engine heavy I'd presume. Having said that how much drivers lose in the race (by not having DRS at will) has to be seen.

Poleman - dear God that was fast. Getting the video on youtube I mean. Though the lap itself isn't too bad :P

Why did they move the S1 marker? They moved 17 seconds worth of lap from the end of S1 to the start of S2

The video is from another uploader...I just searched out of curiocity and bang! Its fast indeed...Frame speed little annoying though,im sure a better version will come across soon.

In the meanwhile from taken from the first page:
raymondu999 wrote: I've been thinking about weird places where the Bulls can get DRS activated where others can't. I think 7 and 8 will probably be DRS-able by Red Bull, and they would probably be able to get on the DRS straight after the exit of 15; and through 16 and 17.
Hamilton was breezing DRS open at those places surprisingly.

Yes the framerate is absolutely devastatingly slow. The lap was fast; the upload was fast - the video was not

Two things worth mention is that watching the onboard from the pole lap,the DRS usage in the MP4-26 was as if i was watching Hamilton driving an RB7. :? Also at the very beginning of the lap, first straight after T2,notice the amount of flex on the FW as it recovers under breaking towards T3.
