Same as RB7 (which is normal since it is the same rear suspension & gearbox)beelsebob wrote:Now that we can see the rear of the car more clearly, it becomes obvious that what looks like the pull rod is something very interesting there – it travels in front of the front part of the lower wishbone. What's going on there?
The drive shaft is now much clearer as travelling just above the lower wish bone in a position that would be obscured by the beam wing from the rear shot.
Good spot! I wonder if that's designed to push air under the edge, and seal the floor... Using the RBR energised air skirt idea.Mchamilton wrote:something different going on with the leading edge of the floor below the sidepod barge boards?
Maybe they want seal with vortices and with huge amound of air (edge on the side of sidepods) leading edge of diffuozor?Mchamilton wrote:tok-tokkie wrote:Isak wrote:High res versions. Right click -> show image to get them in fullsize.
something different going on with the leading edge of the floor below the sidepod barge boards?
Can anyone enhance the part? My eyes aren't powerful enough to make out what you're talking aboutbeelsebob wrote:Good spot! It's the slant at the front of the floor that we're muttering about :raymondu999 wrote:Can anyone enhance the part? My eyes aren't powerful enough to make out what you're talking about

Yeh, I can't see a reason why it doesn't get caught in that – I'd be interested to see if anyone can spot why this would be legal.raymondu999 wrote:The floor actually terminates not on the bottom of the sidepod? Beelsebob doesn't it contravene the "surfaces visible from bottom must be on reference or step plane" rule that you quoted a while back?
Last year's sloped on the top, but not on the bottom. It also didn't slope at anywhere near the angle that does.Owen.C93 wrote:They had a funky leading edge to their floor last year as well, nothing "special".
