Toro Rosso STR7 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

At 0.50 talking about exhausts he says. "I suspect everyone is making the same thing except for one team"

What team is he hintinfg at? Rbr? ferrari? How does he know that?
He said his car is evolution not a revolution, and everybody will be doing that except one team... so it must be Ferrari most likely.
Agreed. That's how I read it as well (After maxing out the volume on my computer!)

That makes sense - I probably understood it wrong.

News from @ToroRossoSpy on Ricciardo's issues: "Car suffered a drop in oil pressure and the engine protection system shut it down. Nothing serious but not enough time to fix it before 5pm"
via Autosport.
"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe." Murray Walker, San Marino 1985

It'd be great to see a side view with all the flow-viz paint to see the streaks on the undercut...

Thanks for the image! You're right, not much to see. Guess they weren't interested in that...

Better to test if the front is correct before starting to test the middle and the rear. Otherwise how you would know - in case of a problem under the sidepods - if it is due to the sidepod or the front design.

TR video through the factory. I don't know a lick of Italian, but there's some interesting views on the construction as well as a nice shot of a row of side-pod covers.

Yeah great pictures to have a visual. Thanks you for posting. Air from the outer ends of the frontwing gets re-directed to the sidepods, w/o interferrence on anything else. Would have been great if they had applied red colored viz in the middle section of the front wing, which should show re-directing air under nose, passing around the sidepods on the floor.
Interresting enough there seems to be some of the green viz hitting the floor and certain sectiond just before the rear end...must be when directed over the sidepoods, getting pulled downwards...would be great to see a closer picture of the viz at the backend....
You cannot engineer out stupidity.
