Anyhow, Mercedes is hiding an aero secret in the front wing called the W duct! I posted the youtube link to a really interesting video if anyone is curious!
Looks like Mercedes will be a contender with fresh innovations like this! Teams will be scrambling to catch up!

Time for history lesson.
In 1992&1993, Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost became champions in Adrian Newey designed Williams-Renault. But in 1994, Michael Schumacher stopped them, winning the title with Benneton-Ford with Ross Brawn besides him.
In 1998&1999, Mika Hakkinen became champion in a McLaren-Mercedes, and Newey was there again. Guess who stopped them in 2000? It was Michael Shumacher again in a Ferrari and Ross Brawn was besides him, too.
In 2010&2011, young Sebastian Vettel won the title in a car designed by who? It's Mr.Newey again!
Incidentally in 2012, Michael Schmacher and Ross Brawn are together this time at Mercedes AMG Petronas.
Moot point, as he beat Burger. Not only that but he had an 1 more retirement than Burger(7 vs 6) and also lost more points than Burger did in these retirements.SchumiMercedes wrote:To demonstrate how close was between two last season,I will give you example with the driver on your avatar-Senna.In 1992 prime Senna outscored his teammate by a single point - 50:49(DNFs-7:6).
F1 is far more competitive now than it was in 1992. Hence the reason for the points system to be extended to 10th. Unfortunately you cannot compare the 2 as back in the day there was only 2 teams capable of winning today there are 3, blocking out the top 6 and the points system your holding onto.SchumiMercedes wrote:Using the same point system Schumacher outscored Rosberg last season by 3 points-11:8(DNFs-5:2,plus few more front wing accidents).
Er, Senna outscored prost in 1988.SchumiMercedes wrote:Just for the record Senna was easily outscored by Prost in 88 and 89,but some people still think He was a better driver
I'm afraid that Rosberg finished ahead of Schumacher more times when both drivers completed the race. Thats a fact.SchumiMercedes wrote:It's not difficult for driver to outscore his teammate when he is accident free and hase a lot less DNFs.Button did it last season and Webber almost did it in 2010.
CharlieWhiting has no mind of his own, he's just doing what he's told, there are many xamples how he "changed his mind".Ferraripilot wrote:I guess the real question is going to be if Charlie Whiting throws his hands in the air at Red Bull and Mclaren and pulls the 3.15 card on them. What's their plan B? I don't think Charlie is going to stand for anyone trying to blow the diffuser really. That's specifically what the new regs are for and per his own mouth he will ban whoever is trying to blow the diff. Let's see if he's a man of his word.

Intersting piece of information. I wish and hope this year it happens. Somehow I have a gut and intuitive feeling that Mercedes is the real dark horse this year and in the end it would be close fight between Mercedes, Redbull and Mclaren. How good Schumacher performs and whether he is able to outdo his team mate remains to be seen. If the car is good and Schumacher could not beat him then it could be disaster for him.mahesh248 wrote:Amazing stuff !!!!MercAMGF1Fans wrote:here's an interesting FACT!

As for 1989, Everytime Senna finished a race he beat Prost apart from 1 occasion in Brazil! Thats why he was classed as the better driver...

12 vs 3 in 2010 and then 7 vs 6 bringing a grand total of Schumacher getting beaten by Rosber 19 times to his 9 once both drivers complete the race.
Thats fairly telling IMO.
So I have the facts, and stats to prove my point along with that what I can see. I'm not clutching at straws either. And this isn't to denigrate Schumacher who is an all time great as I have already posted.
Maybe just maybe Schumacher is getting beaten by a younger and faster driver? Ever considered Schumacher to be human?
