Was he off in T3, or T6? I remember he had a T6 off in 2010 too

Ferrari looks like they are in for a very tough season.

[...] I am starting to realize it was all car for vettel. He's looking pretty average without any blown diffuser. Goooodd. 8)

Redbull are in the same boat with Ferrari in terms of exhaust. Sauber as well in some regard.

These new exhausts aren't safe IMO, Mclaren is the exception as they are good refiners.

Redbull should stop being greedy and switch back to the first exhaust they used in testing. They will be faster than they are now.
They need to go back to the drawing board and copy Mclaren or improve their design in some way. Stability is absent.

I don't buy it. The car still has ellipses in the design - it should be fast.

What's the lap time difference between the soft and the medium ? 1 sec ? That would put Vettel half a second clear of anyone else, and I don't think Red Bull was running lighter than McLaren, so...

It was T6. But according to the Sky sports commentators, its a good omen. Everytime Seb parks his baby on the gravels, he goes onto win the race.

Race is fixed then. :? :?:

It seams to be really close between Lotus MGP RBR and McLaren.

That's not the whole idea really. Notice where the Lotus E20 is with a newbie driver?
I'll explain later and why the deviation of redbull to the new bridged sidepod is a step back. The first beam wing blown sidepods were better as this one has too many dependents.
The irony is the E20 is more redbull than the redbull in terms of design philosophy in the middle of the car.

Ferrari are gonners. Car needs serious redesign. Force india only looked fast as predicted. Sauber seem handy as well as Torro Rosso.

But i feel the Lotus is the fastest car. It doesn't have a fancy exhaust and it is monstrously fast with limited testing and a fairly inexperienced driver.

Well I've always been a less is more person - and so I just loved the packaging on the RB5-6-7. RB8 too - until I saw they had to sacrifice some packaging for the exhaust+bridge concept. But that's a topic for another thread.

The McLaren solution is best. Compared to Redbull's which has too many fins trying to redirect exhaust flow and airflow and the mix of the two, ducts, and splitters, McLaren's looks awfully simple and the exhaust goes where it's supposed to go, use the air to supplement, done.

wait of minute Vettel was going even quicker he set fastest sector 1 of anyone before he spun running on medium tyres

I think Red Bull gets pole they seem to have lot more pace

Ferrari on the other hand

going out of Q3 and fighting with Catheram :?
