Thanks for the comments Saam, Nick,

in fact the Ferrari days travel around Europe with the 430 Challenge series - I've been to similar days at Brands Hatch (UK) when I lived in UK. But is it a great day out and it was a priviledge to visit Spa - my fave track.

I must say that in common with the rest of Belgium the 'rules' seem to be more or less only for guidance... I could not believe that we had free access to the pit lane and we were standing just at the end of the (second) pit lane, just opposite Eau Rouge, whilst the first F1 demo's were going on... absolutely incredible to be so close to the cars with nothing between us and them... - sure enough after a while we were asked to move back... but it was great whilst it lasted.

I went to the Ferrari days too. I drove 100kms with my bike to get there and then camped on the circuit with a tent. Wonderful experience.

I also made some pics (I'm not a photographer so pics are nothing special )

If you are a Ferrari fan you really have to go the the Ferrari days once. It costs 15€ for the whole weekend. For that money you can even get on the pitwall, in the pitboxes, in the paddock and in the challenge service tent 8)
I even managed to take place in some ferrari's, driving one is for next year 8)

I think I will go to the Porsche days as well 8)

Nice pics Alexis,

I didn't see the black Enzo, just a plain old red one! (but I think they look much nicer in real life than in the pics)

If the hisoric pics were taken on sunday I guess you'll be able to see yourself in this one! seems like I was right opposite you in the grandstand.

I love the circuit and will definitely be going back for more events.. couldn't make the Porsche days, but will be regularly checking the Spa website for similar occasions. Like you said, excellent value for money and a great day out, even the kids enjoyed it, except our 3 year old said she wanted to go home when the contemporary F1 cars were doing the demos! She still says that sounded like fireworks!!! I luv em!!! :D

I'm the left one, the other is a mate from school :)

You can see I'm making a pic at that moment this is the pic I was making:

Everyday there were different cars in the carpark. Most of the Ferrari owners only come for one day. You'll just have missed the black enzo ;).
And indeed in real life they're real beauties :D

Small world isn't it!

still cannot understand why the FXX's were not way faster than the 340's though!

I still think they take less risk than the F430's. FXX is as already sead very expensive...

Both are on slicks, but I know the Pirelli rubber on the 430's is very high quality and soft. About the specs of the slicks of the FXX? I don't know but maybe a little less competitive and more conservative.

Then there's the fact that the F430's are really fine-tuned for the race, they had practice sessions friday. The FXX also have a setup but less refined than the 430's. The 430's are racing for the win, FXX are not racing, they don't take any risk.

Dunno what drivers are in the FXX but I bet some of them are not really racers but people with a lot of money. (The bleu FXX e.g. went really slow)

But indeed the difference is too big, with so many horses the FXX should do better.
