Mr Scarborough, He Tweet:
ScarbsF1: HRTnew aero package should be a new front wing with a single flap, bargeboard, pod vane and a RW endplate
I'm guessing that's a resculpted RW endplate around the diffuser exit or altered main plane louvres rather than a sign they've installed SUPER DUTY DOUBLE POWER EXTRA F-DUCT DRS (c) AMG

There was a rumour that HRT was developing a Merc system.

Well, they could miss the in-season test, run the flyaways with an F111 mongrel, develop a B spec F112 and apply updates from BCN [Edit: I mean the pre-season testing, i.e. when they see everyone else's cars] onwards.

If I were HRT, I'd be tempted. Take the fight to Marussia.

Merc said was really cheap if the car was build around it, so maybe Sauber can't afford to fit the pipes but HRT may have the space/design places for it.
The rumor is they are developing it, but is not yet ready.

The ugliest car i´ve seen in years i think :)

Front wing looks like it was designed in the 90´s.

Yes its cheap in the sense that its integrated in the car and they have the data from last year FW stalling... But a team like HRT and Sauber would have to spend bigger amounts of money srsly cant you understand that ?

And while we are linking articles ill link this then http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/new ... for-Sauber

Can someone pleased clarify if that is the Bahrain spec front wing? It looks like it to me.

It has been reported on numerous occasions that a new front wing was coming but it does not appear to be a new one to me?

Thanks

From what I saw De La Rosa was running the new front wing, which seems to be a single element design. Clos was running the old wing initially then swapped to the new wing, perhaps for a back to back comparison.
The conundrum for the smaller teams is that aero developments only work if your mechanical layout is fully optimised. Hence its best to concentrate on the mechanical side including KERS. Energy recovery will be standard from 2014 so it makes sense acquiring as much data as possible.
