So far during a duration of more than 2 and half seasons, Jenson has accumulated more points (+1) and podiums (+3) than Lewis. Lewis has more wins (+1).
You can't use the above to justify your statement. If you based number 1 spot on them statistics the number one spot would be changing week in week out.

Pre-spa:
Lewis has accumulated more points (+24) and more wins (+2). Button more podiums (+2). Quali results anyone?
I don't think you got what I was trying to say. I never suggested Button just get the number 1 position or that based on some metric they should choose continuously choose their number one driver on an ongoing basis.

What I stated was based on results, Jenson and Lewis are very well matched and that Lewis doesn't deserve to be number one. If he wants that status, he should earn it first....

@LionKing,

If you remove the team's errors for both drivers Lewis would be so much ahead of Jenson in the table right now. For a sane team management that's more than convincing enough to give one driver no 1 status over the other. Arguing otherwise is not even funny - the facts say it all. That's what pisses Lewis I guess.

Lewis has done his part to deserve no 1 status. The team keep ignoring him. Or let's make that "had done before spa".

As one football coach said; some people sees neighbour's field is greener, but it's not always true.
He may end up over-driving a slow car season after season.
Drivers have released worse than that. Jenson revealed the F-duct, Schumacher revealed DDRS? Were they fired? Nope.. simple speed trace and throttle PHOTO.. isn't gonna do anything for anybody. It's surely isn't going to make RedBull 0.2 seconds faster!

I think what he did was wrong, but it was also right! The team will never take him seriously if he doesn't show the world that he is treated like a boy in the team that he won the WDC for.

Do you have any sources for Button and Schumacher's reveals? I'd like to know how much they may have revealed, the context, 'cuz that ain't alright.

Evenly matched in your rose tinted world  Points gleaning and winning with dominant cars and luck is not enough to win you a WDC with Mclaren. You have to be able to race guys like Alonso and Vettel. Scampering off into the distance the two times a season when you get a rocketship is not gonna bring consisntent points. You have to score consistently and push in the dagger at the same time, and Hamilton is the only bullet they have.

TV interviews and Race footage. Button flat out told the whole world how the F-duct worked in 2010 (must be malaysia or something) and MSC crashed his MGP003 in Australia revealing the DDRS front wing.

Nah. Goony revealed the f duct. Jenson said it, but everyone knew about it already. Michael didn't outright tell, he inadvertently made the information available.

Subtle but crucial differences

I'll look back at 2010 races to see about Jenson. Off the top of my head, Monza 2010 grid walk was the only time he revealed details - and even then it was only about how he used the elbow rather than knee.

Don't forget. Everyone knew about the f duct by end of testing, and Whiting was inspecting it on Bahrain Thursday. McLaren brought a car without the f duct too, just in case

Lewis let the cat out of the bag. Jenson just told everyone about a cat that had left the bag. Schumacher accidentally ripped the bag. Different.

"Drivers have released worse than that. "

That does not make it right. It's also not so much WHAT he revealed, but that he revealed ANY private team information. That's the point. Whatever other drivers did is completely irrelevant because it's NEVER ok to do it no matter who has supposedly done similar in the past.Β

"The team will never take him seriously if he doesn't show the world that he is treated like a boy in the team that he won the WDC for."

What?!?Β That is not how you get a team to take you seriously. That's how you get a team to treat you like a boy...because he's acting like one.

Hamilton keeps proving to us that he can't escape his idiocy. If an engineer did the exact same thing, they would have been fired on the spot.

Insulting LH results in you being seen as both not credible and as "having lost the argument". This is what I've been told repeatedly on here. Just sayin' :D
"There is a credit card with the Ferrari logo, issued by Santander, which gives the scuderia a % of purchases made with the card...

I would guess that such a serious amount of money would allow them to ignore the constant complains of a car that was nowhere near as bad as their #1 driver tried to sell throughout the season.

Heck, a car on which Massa finishes in the podium or has to lift so that his teammate finishes ahead (As we saw often in the final races of the year) is, by no means, a "bad" car."
