Formula One tyre supplier Pirelli have said that the final day of testing at Jerez will be used for wet tyre testing after the track is artificially watered. The company also developed a special tyre for this test, specifically for the colder conditions.

"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe."Murray Walker, San Marino 1985

The Italian manufacturer will provide each car with one set of soft tyres, six sets of medium tyres, seven sets of hard tyres, three sets of intermediate tyres and three sets of wet tyres. The supersoft tyre will not be provided because of the particular characteristics of the Jerez circuit

For me it's the team which has coloured that tire
I think it's always useful to not let others know ... But after all, McL seems to care to make anyone know Button's lap was on hards (while was on mediums), so headcache
"Pirelli hat pro Team 20 Reifensätze nach Jerez geliefert, unter denen sich aber keine Supersoft-Reifen befanden. Die Teams hatten dann jeweils noch einmal die Möglichkeit, 15 Sätze für sich auszusuchen. Das liegt nicht in unserem Einflussbereich und darüber können wir natürlich auch nicht im Einzelnen kommunizieren"
So Pirelli brought 20 Sets of Tyres per Team, no Supersofts in this. But every Team had the Chance to order additional 15 Sets of Tyres, which Compounds where not chosen and will not be communicated by Pirelli.
So the Supersofts on the McLaren where actually Supersofts out of the 15 Set Contingent specifically ordered by McLaren.

Since every second counts, i wonder why some teams dont use all the testing time available in a given day. Example is McLaren 50min into the test has yet to send Perez out?

Sometimes they are setting some part up and that might take time...
