At which point of the video exactly?

1:22 onwards.

Hmm....he does seem a bit tentative with it......seems his elbow is at quite a constant/fixed angle and he doesn't seem to use much (if any) articulation in his fingers. Seems like basic open claw/closed claw movement is all he does with it.

It looks like he can't hold the water bottle in one hand. It looks to me like the wrist is pretty rigid too

but his leg works better, from the look of it
It's been a long time since we drove last time, but it has also been a short time at the same time

The leg has never been the concern though.

With regards to the arm strength, I wonder if it is a concious action of RK t constantly use his left arm for everything - if he gestures, reaches for something, moves something etc it is 95% of the time done with his left hand, even things that would normally be done with your right arm.

I guess after 6-12 months of not using it your brain would retrain itself and naturally do everything left handed as if you didn't have a right arm.

Does anyone happen to know if he is naturally right or left handed?

Kubica's crash was a huge loss for F1. He had a lot of promise.

According to the man himself strength although probably not perfect is not an issue. He did drive without power steering, didn't he? As for the video, he's not driving a car, which is, again according to Kubica, less problematic then hand's regular life applications.

Mobility is a major issue. The part I don't understand is what must happen if he's to drive single seaters again? Another operation, hand/arm heals by itself with time? What are possible scenarios? For me this comeback to F1 talk is pointless until he tests some kind of a single seater. Rallying is a bit "meh", even stupid DTM would be more interesting to watch.

That video confirms the lack of articulation in his fingers and basic open claw/closed claw functionality that I hinted at from the other rally video.

In the second half of the video you can see him using a very rigid grip with his hand on the shifter, yet his fingers do not curl around to grip it.

..."With Hamilton and Nico Rosberg we have the best driver pairing" is convinced Lauda. "The two push each other forward positively. Our driver change has motivated the whole team, all newly inspired. "Last time also ex-Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica (POL) was employed for the tests in the simulator. He should relieve Hamilton and Rosberg. Lauda: "He brings a lot of experience. Due to the limited testing facilities, the simulators are becoming more important ". Conclusion: At Mercedes, it also seems to run smoothly without Vettel.
