I can only quote myself because it is still true.

Today's announcement is the vindication of Jean Todt's vision and strategy to bring fuel efficient turbo engines to F1 and attract new manufcturers. I'm totally convinced that others will follow, particularly if the current engine freeze is eventually terminated and controlled development of the drive train is allowed year by year. I hope that we will see Porsche and other manufacturers like Tata in F1 very soon.
I'm very excited to see the Japanese people come back to Formula one. It was a great shame to loose them in the wake of the 2007 financial crisis and the previous spending war. They have been a core force in F1 for a long time and have been missed very badly. I hope with a company like Honda coming back there will be a great motivation for others to invest in the F1 world championship.
A red and white livery for McLaren Honda would be great but I doubt that it will happen unless another Japanese company with that colour scheme decides to make a bid for the tile sponsorship at McLaren. The power train contribution by Honda will not be enough for McLaren to determine the livery. They traditionally make a lot of money by selling the livery scheme to a title sponsor. So it will all depend of money how that will turn out.
Anyway, it is absolutely fabulous news we have received today and it will be welcome to all of the F1 fans. A true opportunity to celebrate which I for now intend to do for the rest of the day.
