(Thank you good sir). In regards to letting us know its being run on the news!
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Loving this, and the impending release of '90's arcade racer', and ron howards 'rush'.

2013 is shaping up as a goodyear!!! (if only the tires namesake came to the party now)

Someone please rename the topic title or make a new official topic.

Anyway...
Hoozah! I know a lot of uncertainty comes with this deal, but I feel glad about it.

I wonder if this will bring about a revival of the old white and red colour scheme?

The white-red livery was for Marlboro.

Good to see Honda is coming back to Formula 1.

Good news for Honda fans, McLaren and F1 in general.

Maybe now they're back in F1 they can start making real sports cars for general sale once more. It's about time they did!

I can only quote myself because it is still true.
WhiteBlue wrote:Honda back in the fold followed by Porsche would be great news. It would reward Todt's team for showing great patience and wisdom with the engine strategy.
Today's announcement is the vindication of Jean Todt's vision and strategy to bring fuel efficient turbo engines to F1 and attract new manufcturers. I'm totally convinced that others will follow, particularly if the current engine freeze is eventually terminated and controlled development of the drive train is allowed year by year. I hope that we will see Porsche and other manufacturers like Tata in F1 very soon.

I'm very excited to see the Japanese people come back to Formula one. It was a great shame to loose them in the wake of the 2007 financial crisis and the previous spending war. They have been a core force in F1 for a long time and have been missed very badly. I hope with a company like Honda coming back there will be a great motivation for others to invest in the F1 world championship.

A red and white livery for McLaren Honda would be great but I doubt that it will happen unless another Japanese company with that colour scheme decides to make a bid for the tile sponsorship at McLaren. The power train contribution by Honda will not be enough for McLaren to determine the livery. They traditionally make a lot of money by selling the livery scheme to a title sponsor. So it will all depend of money how that will turn out.

Anyway, it is absolutely fabulous news we have received today and it will be welcome to all of the F1 fans. A true opportunity to celebrate which I for now intend to do for the rest of the day.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

It also buys them time. Mclaren is loosing out in the present. Vodafone leaving, Paddy Lowe dumping the team, a bad car, loosing Lewis,... . Now they can just use whole 2014 to recover.
