Note, "all drivers don't feel motion sickness" is not the same statement as "not all drivers feel motion sickness.

in a normal g force range of say 2gs i don´t think you run into issues ,the trouble starts when simulator and real experience deviate 3+ sustained gs ,that is.

just look into Allisons interview for reference. He clearly says it´s for driver education and setup work -you can possibly separate setup directions undriveable from faisible ones....but then drivers have different likings and capacitis to live with quirks of a car..but allisons says no real work in the simulator for the race drivers... :wtf:
some people may remember Benneton had serious trouble when both Berger and alesi could not live with Schumachers car in 96 and that was not even a setup thing the whole thing was developped into something unfriendly.. so a questionable logic there .
These simulators are a prestige thing in my view and possibly a real help only in a few years

And Robert himself admited, that he was managing a gap for half of the rally. After 3rd day he said that it was the most difficult moment in his career - "it really isn't easy to drive slowly"

Good result for Robert. I would like to see some onboard footage of how he is handling the car.

And if you want to know the quick way around VIR, I have a buddy who is an instructor there. I think he could be talked into a private lesson. He really knows his way around Oak Tree! :D
I would think that , if anything, a more sophisticated simulator would reduce motion sickness.

As an aside, VIR is beautiful but quite a b!tch. Its a place where local knowledge gives lap time, and my lack of said local knowledge put me way behind a guy I've always beat on my turf(Barber Motorsports Park).

Cool interview with Robert on the BBC buildup qualifying coverage today - Brits should be sure to catch it on iPlayer if they missed that. I'll keep an eye out on youtube for it though for Kubica fans from everywhere else. If i remember rightly one of the things he said something along the lines of his main obstacle to racing in F1 again is the duration of the races.

His hand still looks like it is from Thunderbirds but I think he will make it back to F1 car, and if not he will have a great career in rallying.

Just a thought after watching the interview - as far as I know there is no upper limit for the width of the cockpit in F1 car. So a team may prepare a tub which will be 10 cm wider to let Kubica drive. I just wonder how big would be the aerodynamic and weight penalties of such wider tub?

Kind of what McLaren did to fit Mansell in.
