3 is not enough for you?
Uhhh, I'm missing something, he hit the apex of 3 perfectly...

He also slightly missed entry to the chicken.
Nope...

He actually if anything hit it margionally too hard – he got a bit of wheel spin because of it.
And going wide troughout those corners does not get you better traction or lap time. If it did, everyone would be taking that line but they don't. Nor does Vettel on his lap record from 2010.
Actually, Vettel takes a very similar line through 5 (slightly tighter), and an identical line through the final turn. By the way, he missed the apex of turn 2 by a foot on that lap.
What I'd like to see is Vettel's 2nd sector from his first fyling lap which was something like 5thns faster than hamilton's.
Well no ---, that would be because the RedBull is set up for higher downforce and drag than the Merc, hence him losing something like 5 tenths in the first sector ;).

The fact you needlessly bring up Vettel's lap in 2010 when his car was by far fastest proves you have some agenda to your posts.

If Lewis's lap was as flawed as you say, why did Seb not beat or Lewis's teammate the very quick Rosberg not come close to it? Have a word with yourself.
Vettel said after qualifying he should've been more aggressive on his second lap and Rosberg had a failure of the brake bias lever.

As for the Mercedes being inferior to the Red Bull in qualifying, it has 7 poles from 10 races. There is opinion and then there is fanboyism.

I'm not sure where opinion and fanboyism comes into it. We have completely different tyres, and all teams other than Mercedes getting to test for 4 days. While Mercedes certainly had the qualy pace over RedBull before the Silverstone test, it's entirely reasonable to expect that that situation might have changed now (and by the looks of it, has).

He clearly missed apexes on numerous corners and that is not the fastest way around the track no matter how you spin it. He is fast, no doubt about it, but why do people praise this lap as some kind of miracle is beyond me. If you want to see real fast lap around hungaroring you should check 2010 pole, much more impressive than this.

One other thing I'm puzzled about. It says on the pole lap video he's doing 308 kph at the end of start/finish straight, yet on official f1 stats it states only 299 kph

When Vettel comes on saying it was an "exceptional" lap it´s quite funny reading the Vettel defense-force posts.

In total the Mercedes have the best qualifying car this year, that I agree with.

But the past two races being Germany and Hungry, Lewis has taken Pole when I feel the Red Bull have had a better car in qualifying, maybe not by much but by a tiny bit.

All drivers say what they should have done or make excuses after not getting pole, Lewis himself would have done one or the other.

Is he driving with a watch on his wrist or is that just a print?

Haha, weird... My guess would be that that's a rolex advert, but I don't know for sure.

So we got high temps yet the Mercedes on the harder compound has trouble getting heat in them?
Rosberg saying the new tires have helped in terms of deg too.

Maybe...just maybe if they are first into T1 tomorrow they could pull this off.

It's an IWC Big Pilot, they're sponsoring the team.

Whilst you clearly believe Hamilton to be a messiah, he wouldn't be able to fix a broken brake bias lever, just as Rosberg couldn't.

All this praising for Hamilton makes me sick. Get yourself together, people.

:D

Not at all well maybe not quite. Seriously, I can happily critic his performances in 2011 and when I think he has underperformed.. I did not know Rosberg had anything broken with his car, just thought he had set-up problems. That is quite interesting then.

I don't believe it. It was so close last year for Lewis, and that MP4-27 wasn't eating its tyres as much as the W04 does.

Still keeping my fingers crossed, I really like this team and Lewis' first win for Mercedes is overdue.
