How interesting. Car 3 is Alonso, is it not? Well as we discussed, he does have prior.. (Bahrain)

If Vettel had set up the car for a higher top speed then he would have been slower round the lap as a whole. Otherwise he would have set the car up for a higher top speed.mnmracer wrote:When did I say anything about Webber?komninosm wrote:OK then my question becomes what did you expect Webber to do other than crash into Hamilton or something that earns him a penalty like blocking?mnmracer wrote:Or you know, Vettel might have been able to pass like Hamilton if he had the top speed of Hamilton, and stuff.
Hamilton just passed everyone really fast today. He's no Vettel :p
I comment on your uneducated stab at Vettel.
Hmm interesting. I thought I also saw Button open DRS down the straight once when he shouldn't have been able to, but presumed that he'd passed a back marker into the final turn. Perhaps the whole system was on the blink?raymondu999 wrote:How interesting. Car 3 is Alonso, is it not? Well as we discussed, he does have prior.. (Bahrain)
Yup, exactly.myurr wrote: He chose a compromise, as did Hamilton, and he went for pole at the cost of the ability to race wheel to wheel. He missed pole, he failed to run in clear air at the front, he lost the race. Hamilton set up more for the race, expecting to be battling to keep cars behind him and confident of a decent qualifying if not pole position. He still managed to out drive Vettel and take pole, got a good start, and dominated from there on in.
Button was just behind a Marussia as they crossed the DRS detector line. The Marussia then pitted. The result was that Button got the benefit of the DRS because he had been within 1 second of a car as he crossed the detection line. Simple.myurr wrote: Hmm interesting. One could indeed have this impressionLionKing wrote:More on this topic, I suspose Webber intentionally made it easy for Lewis today. He was passed twice by Lewis almost immediately when Lewis caught him and none were DRS moves due to RBR low top speed.
I think he would rather see a Lewis victory than a Vettel one
This reads too much like a conspiracy theory for my liking. And before anyone says anything about Vettel/Webber conspiracies, I do not like those theories either. I have always thought that Vettel is simply a better driver than Webber, I would speculate the team pay more attention and care to Vettel's car these days, but that would be due to Vettel getting himself into Championship winning position and Webber not being able to do so.LionKing wrote:More on this topic, I suspose Webber intentionally made it easy for Lewis today. Yes - apparently Ferrari forgot to change the setting between qualifying and the race, and were therefore fined. No penalty to Alonso.piast9 wrote:Isn't the DRS activation possibility enabled remotely by the race control?

Does everything Lewis and Vettel do have to be compared to the other by fans? With no balance on either side.LionKing wrote:Well last race Vettel dispatched Lewis pretty much as soon as he caught him but Lewis were stuck behind Hulkenberg for many lapskomninosm wrote:Hamilton just passed everyone really fast today. Yep exactly I was just responding to a dig at Vettel that is it....sennafan24 wrote:Does everything Lewis and Vettel do have to be compared to the other by fans? Also no TV tonight and go to your room, you're grounded for 3 weeks (just in time for next race).RB_[Gnx] wrote:No Penalty For Alonso ..But Ferrari had to pay 15k which is a joke ...
