All this in a simulator of the Mercedes. The Polish driver seems to almost ready for the return behind the wheel of an F1 car
"At what point are they? To the point that I was able to walk the length of three grand prizes in seven hours. "
It's a decidedly relaxed Robert Kubica, who want to talk and to speak not only of his race, that saw the reorganization of Olbia after the first six special stages of the Rally of Italy, closed under the command of the Citroen DS3 WRC 2 with RRC .

The Polish driver, after speaking of dust, dirt and strategies, does not escape the questions related to his Mercedes test in a simulator, which allowed him, even if only in a virtual way, to go back to driving a Formula 1 car.
"I can not say when I made the last test - clear - but I am very happy because I have seen a progression important."
A progression that is definitely hope for the physical recovery of the Polish, was seriously wounded in the right arm in the accident Andora Rally 2011: "When I raced in Formula One I have never used the simulator, because none of the teams I during the 'had. In terms of physical effort, logically the simulator is not able to reproduce the G side, but the effort behind the wheel and the pedals is exactly identical to that of real cars and at the moment I'm using it without any help, then 100% of force. "

We are therefore closer to the back of a car full of Formula?
"By the time a test is not scheduled - clear - because (smiles, ed) you could not keep it a secret to some. No, really a test end in itself interests me relatively, without the prospect of racing then I roderebbe a bit '. But in all honesty I think I would be able to drive on about 80% of the circuits, because the interior of the Mercedes is quite wide in the area where I still have problems. I'd start with the right stimulus of commitment to lose 5-6 kg of those too that I have at the moment and within a couple of months I'd be ready. "

A Kubica will not stop goes further: "If I have also collaborated in the development of the car? No real development, but ... ".

Robert Kubica in Rally of Sardinia

Robert Kubica had no equal during the first day of the Rally of Sardinia. Only the dust, prevented him winning all stages in WRC2 class.

hopefully someone will hire Kubica before something goes terribly wrong in Rallying...
I´m sure a lot of teams would not hesitate to sign him now....He is the one who is not yet ready to call it a day in terms of Formula 1 .
I just love the prospect of seing him back in F1 .

marcush, RK learned a lesson and is doing a lot better in rally car now. He keeps telling he's driving slowly, just fast enough to gather some experience, yet he's still winning most SS's (today he won all 8). To some point, the fact that in whole rally he made just two minor errors, might be a proof of that. BTW he finished whole rally 1st in WRC2 and 9th overall, so he got some points to the WRC championsip already in WRC2 spec car :)

the guy is born to drive at the pinnacle and that still has to be F1 .
I´d think of him being one of the great losses to Formula 1 in recent years.

That is awesome, I thought he was going to reverse out of those trees and drive off with a crumpled front end.

The man is asking for trouble. Anyway, he won Rally Deutschland, first event on proper tarmac, by a small 12 seconds!
