i'll have a pinch of salt with that, the article is a couple of years old and has very little factual information.$64,000 prize from the competition to reinvent fuel? it would barely buy a car to test it on... im guessing what the fuel companies really want to do is buy up ideas/patents for alternative fuels which they keep in their back pocket to keep us dependant on oil, just like tyre companies dont make a puncture proof tyre etc its not exactly going to generate the profits they want in this capitalist world so 'screw pollution, lets milk this earth and get rich'.
