Call me thick but I still don't understand if Chilton was blocked and Perez was on the fast lap: http://www.crash.net/f1/news/196938/1/s ... mpaign=rss
They fined Sauber for wrong message ("safety" of course) and not Hulkenberg for impeding because it wasn't impeding, because if it was they would have to give him penalty so let's not call it that. Secondly, as long as radio message from the team is wrong it's not a problem? Let's say it's a dying stage of qualifying you need to get in front of someone, you give a driver a wrong message and it's fine? No, the other team has to agree, too, like Marussia did, hmm.

Another message about "cooling lap" but you can't trust those + "Perez himself said that Webber had not impeded him or cost him time, which was sufficient for the stewards to decide there was no complaint to look into." Cost him time, on a cooling lap? What about safety, blocking was fairly obvious and I missed Perez going slowly.

They will always lose out in a race situation if they continue with this strategy.
Mercedes totally focused on race pace, so you are talking bullshit.

What was the cause of Vergne's "break" fire?

Doesn't that suggest that his KERS was working to some degree? if he was so 'brilliant' why was he so slow in S2?
Learn to read properly! Already said: 90% of KERS deployment is in sector 2 and only 10% in S3 after chicane.
Actually, on a qualifying lap, 100% in S3 after the chicane, then 90% in sector 2, then 10% in S3 after the chicane.

Amazing how relaxed Hamilton looked. I thought he'd be fuming...

Seems to me that once again Webber's strategy was sacrificed for Vettel's benefit. Predictable, but unpalatable.

Does look that way. Webber's inability to pass Grosjean hasn't helped him though.
