2014 Engine yin yang

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

With Hamilton it's always relative. One time he'll be screaming "what happened with the car, man", next race it can be "no man, I'm not gonna change anything, I like the car as it is!". So don't get your hopes up too quickly :)

Saving this one
Care to take a bet?

Moreover, next year's Big Bertha is likely to be the final straw for Daimler to get the hell out of F1.

Would you do bets on a coin toss? Because that´s what this is.

Oh it's far more than that, it should be obvious to all that MHPE and Mercedes has gone totally wrong on this now.

Mario Ilien is most probably already in Brixworth trying to help out before the design is frozen by the homologation.

How do you figure that without any concrete indicators of actual engine performance?

You have an idea that has manifested itself so strongly that you now have processed it as fact in your brain.

And the seed to this manifestation came from this,
Because the proposal was to raise the limit for 2014, it needed an unanimous vote, but correspondent Andrew Benson said Ferrari, Mercedes and Lotus all declined.
This is how I figure;
Ferrari would swing enough to force a change, Renault is typically good with these things, if nothing else Newey makes sure of it,
but MHPE is designing and building their first Formula 1 engine system on their own without Mario IIlen.

Think about it, Mercedes might be overweight from 2014 and on, no wonder McLaren was anxious to get Honda on board asap!

Actually reading your posts you can sort of trace how this went from idea to "fact".

This is just weird.

Ain't yin yang threads just grand, thanks a whole heap of overweight kilograms richard!

What is 10 kg of driver's weight placed low in the center of the car compared to the same high up in the back of it?

A 2015 best seller by Mario Ilien; "How I successfully put the MHPE turbo V6 on a diet"?

Mercedes makes the most sense to be singing about potentially overweight engines without actually coming out and saying they have a design problem.

I like xpensive's bold predictions.

Besides, we know Ferrari and Renault are not overweight. To the best of my knowledge neither one of them ever had issues designing overweight engines.

Maybe this is why Ross left MGP though? Mario Illien told Zetsche there is no way he is bailing them out of their engine predicament unless Ross is out the door?

CoG and minimum weight is regulated is it not? And if it´s as conservative as with the V8 no team will have any problems whatsoever to hit those targets.

As i mentioned in the Renault V8 thread. The minimum weight of the V8 is 95kg. BMW said they could easily hit 69kg´s.
Shows how conservative the FIA are with that.

He probably gave Zetsche his patented vacant stare and walked out of Brackley to go count his millions from The Great Mercedes F1 Robbery of 2010?
