You don't buy anything horner says, we know that already.
honestly we have to admit that missing a whole day test for a suspension spring mounted upside down is pretty weird...

Indeed.
Especially such a thing as a suspension spring, which is hardly visible "by chance" after having assembled the car. You'd think they have assembled the car at the factory with all quality checks, and end up to notice the mistake (perhaps by checking some setup dimensions) only at the track, without even having completed one lap.....

Ehh! That is just bone for the media. I dont buy that... Problem is much more complex. Very plausible problem with power unit (software, electronic, wirings etc.).

he's only doing his job as RBR's PR man
to the optimist a glass is half full ; to the pessimist a glass is half empty ; to the F1 engineer the glass is twice as big as it needs to be

From McLaren: 'Today was a challenging start to the MP4-29’s test and development programme. Along with other teams, we faced difficulties readying our new car for the first winter test of 2014.

'Despite firing up successfully at the MTC last week, the car was predominantly affected by electrical issues during the day. The subsequent dismantling, inspection and re-installation of several major components ultimately meant we were unable to conduct any running today.

'What’s next: We’re re-installing key systems on the car overnight, with the expectation that Jenson will begin the car’s installation programme tomorrow.'
So, looking at the final timesheet, we saw a rather measly total of 93 laps completed by the nine-car field across eight hours of running. That compares with 600+ from Day One last year. If the challenge posed by F1's new dawn wasn't fully apparent to anyone, it certainly is now.
1. Raikkonen, Ferrari, 1:27.104, 31 laps; 2. Hamilton, Mercedes, 1:27.820, 18 laps; 3. Bottas, Williams, 1:30.082, 7 laps; 4. Perez, Force India, 1:33:161, 11 laps; 5. Vergne, Toro Rosso, 1:36.530, 15 laps;6. Gutierrez, Sauber, 1:42.257; 7. Vettel, Red Bull, No time, 3 laps; 8. Ericsson, Caterham, No time, 1 lap; No laps from Jenson Button.

I don't necessarily feel this way, but this URL seemed a bit unfortunate:

Just think that there is loads of amazing technically innovative stuff that's going on that we probably haven't even thought of. As ugly as these cars are, they are still awesome.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

Today was a pretty amateurish show by most teams, only ferrari are exempt from that really. I cant help but think that F1 teams have become sloppy, accostumed to years of stable regulations. Suddenly there is a bigger change, and everybody loses their minds, one of the best teams cant make stuff fit, etc...

Right... All these teams of professional engineers are just "amateurish". Clearly you could do a much better job.

God, the people here can be dumb sometimes.

You know whats dumb? Dumb is wasting one of the 6 available test days before the first race without setting a time. Thats dumb. If you feel this is acceptable for this level, I completely disagree.
