If we can promise you one thing today... It's that our nose doesn't look like this. #E22 pic.twitter.com/ohG56rKzYQ
Anticipating this, is race director Charlie Whiting: "I cannot reveal too much, that's obvious," speaking to BadgerGp.com during the Autosport International Show. "We have seen tons of solutions, strange with respect to the previous standards. Each team is doing their best to eliminate the aero defeceit derived from this [lowering of the nose] and with that diverse ideas are coming out. I think that we will see some interesting things that a lot of people will think are ugly, but im sure that we will get used to it."F1Passion.it wrote: Ad anticipare qualcosa è il direttore di gara Charlie Whiting: “Non posso rivelare troppo, è ovvio”, ha dichiarato a BadgerGP.com in occasione dell’Autosport International Show. “Ma abbiamo visto un sacco soluzioni, strane rispetto ai precedenti standard. Penso che si vedranno delle cose interessanti che un sacco di persone penseranno siano un po’ brutte e strane, ma sono sicuro che ci abitueremo”.

So they're planning tests after all, good. Why so early, why not wait for Renault to sort out their problems, maybe they won't get any updated engines anyway before Bahrain day 1, or maybe Renault wants to test something and "helped"? [Apart from obvious - check systems earlier to have time for corrections.]
That's what "or maybe Renault wants to test something and "helped" meant.skoop wrote:iotar__ wrote:Another source: (autosprint)

or maybe they got some updated engine and are using this test to verify simulation results and check if some problems are gone
Seems likely, the cooling arrangement reminds McLaren's too, so that is a possibility.AnthonyG wrote:McLaren rear wishbones?
