Re: which driver will gain most from 2014 regs ?

Post

exactly. but there's no arguing when fanboyism is involved. it's ok though. the results speak for themselves, as will next year.
in the meantime, vettel is 4-time WDC. then we have alonso, 2-time WDC. then we have Button, most recent WDC. and Hamilton WDC, Kimi WDC.

next year vettel will be very eager to make that 5-time WDC. the question for the rest of the field will be: will the teams
for 2014 have a car that will be as competetive and run the team as near-flawless as the RedBulls have in the past few
years?

Thing still is.....you can't answer the topic question correctly, never. in no way. Because there are simply too many varying statistics. Just look at the tires, they'll come into play. New engines. Team members. Atmosphere. Team [financial] health.

You could only answer the topic questio if the field would be completely level, alike a GP2 or A1GP, or superleague formula.
Only if the cars and teams would be exactly the same could one answer which driver benefits the most from reg changes.

Any other way, its PURE speculation.

Is there a monkey seat on f14t?

I think we cant even match force India currently, but it was expected. How can u think this car , which is a evolution of the shitty car f138 and f150 , with this stupid pull rod, can match Performance of other cars.

The problem after 4years :

They still havent learned if u are so much behind, u have to change the car completly or else the debacle would repeat.

- we have problems with rear tyre degradation
- engine too aggressive and too much torque
- we have problems running batteries at full power and we run during tests without full power (not cause we wanted to but cause we weren't able to do so)
- we lack in traction in slow corners and downforce in high speed corners
- we must run low downforce due to fuel consumption.
- Our engine has higher consumption and we are forced to run low downforce to reduce drag. In fact we recorded top speed but we are slow in cornering.
- Overall rumors agree we are far behind mercedes (more than 1s)
- Domenical in tv said we are behind mercedes and williams.. and not by a small margin. Focus is already on catching the competition.
where did you get these "infos" ??
i hardly believe we are in such a bad shape !
it's also impossible that someone whitihn the team says publicaly this 10 days before season starts. I guess it's a fake.

from autosport forum. that guy summarize what he saw at tv from stefano 's interview
he's a liar ! do you really believe stefano would say such precise things about the weakness of the team ??
then i'd like to see the vid from me eyes!

I don't buy that excuse for a minute, the simple fact is Dan has adapted better to the Renault PU than Seb and has been faster and looked far more comfortable for most of the weekend.

The loss of the blown diffuser has put a big dent in Seb's armor - I'm not saying he won't bounce back but Dan will out qualify Seb many more times this season and IMO win races.

The difference between the two Red Bulls was so large that it can't have been down to anything other than car problems. Anybody who thinks this is some renaissance are frankly a little bit desperate.

So you are saying Kimi's problems in the Ferrari where also down to the car? Fact is the new PU's are radically different to drive and Dan and Fred are doing a better job than their team mates right now.

Same goes for K-Mag and Button.

How do you explain the fact that in one session Vettel was quicker then Ricciardo and in the other practice sessions he was right up there with Ricciardo?

Did he just magically lose 2 seconds in the wet? we know Vettel can drive so if he sucks then the RBR is a dog and Ricciardo is an alien. (the same alien who was evenly matched with Vergne in races but maybe Vergne is an alien as well, but only on Sundays)

And it all happened between FP3 and Qualifying.

Of course let´s also forget the fact that you could actually see and hear the problems yourself in the broadcast and that it´s already been confirmed by Renault that his car was not functioning properly in Qualifying.

Yeah, Vettel was quicker than Dan in ONE session all weekend - case closed! :)

PS, it also didn't rain until Qually and Dan simply drove perfectly not putting a wheel off anywhere, he showed real class.

Yes. And he had even problems to get the car moving out of the garage in Q1. This can hardly be due to a defective sensor, so I think he is a bad driver. Cause even I can get my car out of the garage in a better way.

But again you are ignoring the fact that Vettel was on the pace of Ricciardo then mysteriously lost over 2 seconds per lap.
