I think that's the standard on the grid right now, there are some good pictures of the Merc floor in the respective thread and the "turn" the diffuser makes is pretty extreme as well.

No, Toto Wolff made a deal between Mercedes and Williams for space to showcase the Mercedes brand.

As the season wears on, it will be more obvious that the engine was the main reason for the good early performances.

You are right. The car clearly lacks ellipses.

Front wing looks pretty much on par with most standard wings in the paddock. We always have extreme wings like Red Bull and wings like Toro Rosso who havent changed their wing in like 3 years.
