I'm with bhallg2k - a dive up the inside has no place in a qualifying, especially a qualifying where people can't see behind them due to clouds of spray.

Alonso probably had no idea kvyat was even behind him, let alone beside him suddenly in a corner.

The point is that Alonso probably turned in on nothing from his perspective. There's absolutely 0 reason to believe Alonso had any idea what so ever that there was a car there, or even that he could have had any idea
