I think the most beautiful F1 car has much to do when you first watched, or first was grabbed with the sport (it like doctor who...).

For me it was in 1984, the year that Niki Lauda and Alain Prost battled it out... In black and white on a small TV and I fell in love with the MP4/2... I even saved up enough money for a small toy car.



I really loved the way the sidepods were shaped, with the exit on top and the fat engine cover. Just perfect in proportion!

You have almost summarized so far all the amazing cars we have been able to admire. From the amazing Lotus (JPS), Simtek, Schumacher’s Ferrari era and even some good-looking Minardi cars… with the all-mighty MP4/4 and the lovely MP4/8.

Allow me to present one car that even when it was a disaster, it was good looking with a smooth nose and the amazing sidepods; it might took Newey out of Mclaren but it was a great bet –that didn’t worked well.
