What a hell? Next there will be a correction that it was Rosberg himself choosing wrong display, just like strategy in Bahrain .

Half a second quicker than what? His previous best lap? That would still have put him 7 tenths away from Hamilton and only one more place up the grid...

My prediction for tomorrow is the race is dry [-o< fingers crossed [-o<

2. Rosberg
3. Vettel
4. Ric
5. Alonso

Don't think it will chance much apart from Rosberg jumping the Red Bulls. Hamilton likely to win by a fair margin if he is happy with his setup.

Andrea Stella who has worked with Alonso and kimi has said Alonso is better. He said of kimi that he is very fast but only when the car is to his liking. Case closed. It is tiring seeing the fanboys talk about kimi aging and making a plethora of other excuses.

As a more of a neutral f1 fan, I have never thought kimi was as good as his hoard of fans had thought.

I couldn't watch this quali. If what Rosberg saying is true, the timing would indicate he should be quite up at the end of S2. I am sure people would have noticed. Also the S1 and S2 times from quali indicate otherwise...

AFAIK he was up - but Hamilton was on a quicker lap when he aborted. They both wpuld have gone quicker i think. Hamilton though never completed that lap.

Kimi was edged by Massa in quali in their 2.5 year Ferrari stint. Massa had also quite a bit more poles than Kimi in that period. Kimi is very good racer but not that much of a good qualifier.

Also Alonso was paired twice with good qualifiers and he lost both matchups. Truli (16-15), Hamilton (10-7).

ROS, MAS, BOT, HUL, RAI, BUT, MAG & PER all qualified below their dry condition positions so it should be a good race behind HAM, similar to Bahrain with the battles throughout the field, except not for the lead in China. Assuming a dry race of course

Rosberg's final lap S1 was 1/10 slower than his best, S2 was 2/10 slower than his best. He was maybe up on himself into the last corner but still at least 5/10 off hamilton.

Just to reclarify and watching QF again...

2nd attemp: Rosberg was quick, but locked up in the end which ment he didnt improve. Then Hamilton who was a bit quicker improved his time by another 4+ tenths. Both had another attempt to the checkered flag though, so i think that's where Rosberg claimed to be quicker, though he needed to be over 1.283seconds quicker than his previous quickest to beat Lewis with compromised tyres.... I'm not that sure. I think Hamilton also aborted once Rosberg lost his car at the finish line, so who knows if he had imprved as well.... If what Rosberg sais is true, he would have been 1.8seconds quicker than his previous best? Not sure about that one.
