The shape of the car is very odd. Especially around the sidepods.Francesc wrote:Nice view of the FW36

It is in all races, and they consistently have the highest top speeds in all races.jagunx51 wrote:massa's fuel consumption is the lowest amongst top 10 ....

Maybe its the short revs they use. They shift quite early which means lower revs and less fuel consumption. That big of difference can't never be accounted for because of drag/low downforce I think.hollus wrote:It is in all races, and they consistently have the highest top speeds in all races.jagunx51 wrote:massa's fuel consumption is the lowest amongst top 10 ....

A possible explanation would be that they have a low drag / low downforce car, with the low drag allowing them to keep competitive lap times. The low downforce means that the corners (partial or no throttle) are a bit longer for them, while the full throttle sections of the straights are shorter. They cannot apply full power without wheelspin until a bit later than the rest, and they have to start braking a bit earlier than the rest, but they are in average faster than the rest between those two points. The net effect would be less time at full throttle for the same lap time, and hence lower fuel consumption.
I am expecting them to excel in Canada (and maybe in Spa ,like Force India back in 2009)
Francesc.I liked your references. Amazing quality.ringo wrote:The shape of the car is very odd. Especially around the sidepods.Francesc wrote:Nice view of the FW36
