Mercs running heavy in fp3 almost certainly, 0.5s slower than yesterday. Williams looking good for best of the rest. Kvyat only 0.05s off?? what's going on here lol? RB same story as yesterday, either they're heavy, or they're in trouble. Anywhere from 0,5 - 0,8s off on average.
Ferrari again close to the top (alonso at least), so maybe they have found some pace. Speed trap data would suggest they've got some acceleration in that PU.

I think Ferrari (at least Fred), will be a little closer to the front at the end of this race than they were in the last. The package is a hand full of rubbish, yet not to bad on fast flowing corners, and relatively kind to it's tires. Alonso should finish 4th, or 5th in this race if the tires strategy is proper FWIW .

McLaren said back in FP3 that he'll be ok for Quali.

Oh look "FIA official" Berger is visiting his own F1 team. After Kvyat and Vettel Berger offered recently his predictable moral support to Ricciardo. Why is FIA official Berger only interested in Red Bull program drivers, I'd like to know what he thinks about Perez, Bianchi or Frijns. Also I wonder why FIA official Berger is not sitting and shaking hands with Force India or Lotus.

The exit of turn 8 is a complete farce. It used to be a little bit of grass and then gravel in the old days. I remember Schumacher running wide in the race there in '98 and ruining his race.

I say put back the gravel and let them run wide if they want to...

Vettel predictably out in Q2. Saw it coming from the start of qualifying. This guy needs to do something, and he needs to do it fast.

What a massive f*ck up by Hamilton. He had 0.3 in hand after the 2nd sector in his first q3 run...

Johnny mentioned a puff of smoke from the rear brakes, but he shouldn't have thrown 0.3 secs on his banker lap anyway.

Wow, so happy for Felipe!

Lewis seems out of luck in q3. Is it a first time he is behind his teammate for three GPs in a raw?

Nah Nico got three poles in a row last year.

So qualifying on pole with brake failure is better than qualifying 10th and finding out the brake failure and getting it fixed before the race?

I'd rather give Hamilton a car that is capable of finishibg a race than a car that fails to finish while beibg up front
