Did anyone listen to Nico's logic as to why he completed his lap? This is what Hamilton needs to learn

Holy --- @ Lewis' interview. He's crushed.

He should've known from the previous lap that it was the final sector that was slow. Really stupid to abort. Another race for Nico to extend the lead.

Even am angry at Hamilton for that massive **** up. No excuses for that one. what a face palm. even if he thought he couldn't go faster he should have stayed in front of Rosberg and pushed so that Rosberg could only match him. god damn it!!!!

It's nothing to do with the team. From all I've seen of Mercedes this year I'm sure they would have told both drivers the exact same thing. Just a really bad decision from Lewis.

Funny how Rosberg is explaining he almost didn't make it in time with Hamilton blocking him and gap that was required. Perez was late. Somehow you have less sympathy after that, obligatory - imagine if it was Rosberg blocking Hamilton outrage.

Even though if he didn't pull out of the lap, he would get a penalty for blocking Rosberg probably.

Hamilton F++ck up because in his previous lap, he was more worried to slow Rosberg.

On the interview he doesn't show so crashed, I think is playing the victim despite is his decision no to finish the lap, not to look like a twat for not trying all the way.

And Rosberg is milking it now to give back those game plays back saying he knew the 3rd sector was drier than the rest.

How? He was on a timed lap until he pulled out of it.

Oh? So, you can only be penalised if you are ahead and are not on a timed lap while the car begind does?

So wait, lets say if Nico didn't get pole he could blame Lewis for it since he wasnt on a lap, thus handing a penalty to Lewis?

Here we go again with Lewis did this Nico did that...As a Hamilton fan that was a major brainfart from his side but the improvement at th end was indeed surprising...How did that happen? The 3 more wet corners after 1st run became the 3 driest in the 2nd? :wtf: At least i am happy Rosberg got P1 as i dislike RBR/Vettel and i enjoy them being beat to the ground. As for the race,in Austria Hamilton almost won it from 9th i dont see any reason he cant do it again especially from 6th.Ferraris and Williams are out of the picture also so theoretically a good start and a good first few laps should bring him back into play.Still a f**k up though he really needs to get himself out of the s**t he's getting himself into.

I just don't understand why Lewis bailed out; he had nothing to lose!

Was it a mind game gone wrong? Did he want to grab pole without having to try? After his smug sounding comment about how slippery the surface was (and apparent attempt to manage Nico's out-lap pace), I think he was simply being over-confident.

He didn't have to use those tyres for the race, so he can't have been preserving them. Nor do I think he thought he was at risk of damaging the car ... there was no logical reason for him to pull in, so he got exactly what was coming to him.

Self inflicted error : I have no sympathy.

According to Toto Wolff, lews was told to let rosberg through if he can't go any quicker but at that time lewis decided to continue with the lap. Then halfway through, he said over the radio that it's too wet and backed off.
