Well, Rosberg's mistake on lap 1 was the most exciting moment of the race, with Alonso's pitstop misadventure as runner-up.

Forgettable race, but congrats to Mercedes for bagging the WCC.

Plenty of action in the midfield, but Lewis had an easy race which made it boring at the front.

Another amazing display of Mercedes power. That's hell of a car. Congratulations to them.

What was that all about the minute of silence and the national anthem before the race? Bianchi did not pass away!

well, Bernie must have been payed extra for this one, from considering canceling this race couple months back to showing off one prominent (not in the best of ways to say the least) person, shaking hands and smiling even...

It's incredible how easily a Merc can go from last to 2nd.

I thought at least Bottas would beat Rosberg today.

There was some racing in the midfield but the director often seemed to want to ignore it. Not unusual sadly.

Well, some people wanted tyres that could be driven hard all race - now we see why that isn't that good an idea. Rosberg being able to pass the entire field (bar one) and still drive at lap record pace shows that this type of tyre doesn't bring better racing at all.

Good drives by Hamilton, Rosberg, Bottas and the McLaren boys. Vettel looking very average again. Ferrari looking like journeymen at the moment - I bet Alonso can't wait to leave. Good to see Williams on the podium again although their performance appears to be very circuit specific, unlike the Mercedes which is the overall best car by some margin.

There were races this year when you could say that, this one wasn't one of those. Unless you've got an ulterior motive.

Bottas on the podium: "We need to be happy as a team"

Clearly, he's disappointed by his team telling him to back off after the stop. He clearly had the pace at the end.

Ricciardo now 92 points behind Hamilton with 100 points to score. This means Ricciardo has to win Abu Dhabi, one of the other two races and come second in the third. That would be 93 points and Hamilton needs to DNF. Very unlikely

Here in the post-race show on Fox Sports, they're replaying Rosberg's race start. He was apparently adjusting his seatbelts into turn 2...

They were mourning the Russian democracy.

PS: FOM pandering to dictators and oligarch and showing their faces to the world, who would have thought.
