Ron Dennis stated they will be testing two different Honda PU's.

Honda first PU had the compressor in the rear but after seeing the MB PU they then designed a split-turbo PU too.

So with this test being more about system check than power and regen,will see a different engine in the back each day.

Ron Dennis is expecting stuttgart to be nervous already... that sums it up pretty much.
He said that Mclaren as a Daimler customer had no access to the strategies how to harvest and exploit energy available and this held them back in all areas so it was a logical step to do a deal with Honda.

I m pretty sure parts of 29H featured in recent flashes of performance with 29 (M)...What could stuttgart say -we won´t give you PUs next year?
I think the more you know about it the more you can question the artificial restrictions AMG dished out towards Mclaren and maybe FI...I don´t think they got any of the advanced maps and energy strategies developped for the works cars... and williams is an investment of Wolff so it is in his interest to see them perform ...

McLaren is still without a big sponsor for next year, even before the Honda PU did any dyno work I pressume that Dennis would say it's a competitor next year... Don't read into it too much.

Williams car probably has the best lift (downforce) to drag ratio of any car this year, combine that with short gearing and it should help quite a bit. I missed the race. Was the overtake done under DRS? Can you possibly describe the overtake scenario?

Even considering the above things I wouldn't be surprised the the Williams merc engine makes more power with the Petronas fuel and (maybe) better engine maps.

as someone mentioned, could look like air/water interccoler at the bottom or?? looks like, but it is difficult to see, that "half" the radiator is gone, compared to the merc setup
