The new upper wing element looks bigger/longer than the old two pillar support rear wing.

I don't think so? I can't see nothing. Doesn't look like the weather to get them either.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

There was an opening in that area before but I can't remember if it was sculpted like that. I'd guess that they're using it as an extractor; by allowing some high speed flow through the slot they can increase the extraction of hot air from the cooling ducts in the rear bodywork.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

With the new single support the monkey seat installation might need some work.

This is definitely new and wasn't present on the W05. Red Bull used this on the RB10 last year, but have ditched it this year.

The bottom right pic shows the small monkey seat is working well per the straight flow fiz lines showing good upwash which is no doubt aided albeit to a lesser extent by exhaust flow. Additionally, compared to RB11s smaller monkey seat positioning, this one seems to be mounted a bit higher above the exhaust. W06 definitely has some room around the exhaust pipe to further vacuum pack the bodywork, or they could just be testing their Malaysia speak cooling solution.
