Red Bull RB11 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Please provide a link where Adrian predicted driveability issues for 2015.

Seems the new engine "simply" needs updated mappings. As they got a lot of milage done in testing so far, there should be plenty of data available to get those things working. At least much better than not having the power at all like last year...

Every new engine lacked driveablitiy at the beginning last year. And the 2015 Renault is a new engine
Marko says: (google translation) "Some of these problems can be solved by mapping changes. When that is done, we will have caught up a large part of the gap behind Mercedes."

This is a typical Marko statement. And we know the value of his statements when his team is not at the front row.

Marko may be correct in case Merc's PU would stand still with no development at all.
But Mercedes will not and has not stand still - we all know that. He knows that as well.
So how may anyone say that they will catch up with the p1-engine?

This angers me considering that Marko usually is no dork ...

Fan videos showed RB had real traction issues coming off slow corner, which it didn't have last year and renault themselves admitted driveability is a problem at the moment.

seems to me this year's sidepods are a little smaller. they seem to "bend in" a little in the first third. maybe this is one of the reasons for the livery.

Black and white camo livery seems more and more like a PR stunt. How are you gonna hide curves and shapes from a gazillion dollars worth cameras for days and days?

Cool monster energy livery if you splash on some more flow vis paint.

This undercut near the intake is just insane. When it rains the whole team can just tuck in under that one :)

But don´t get fooled by the monocoque
