We can find all excuses (engine, aero, track) you mentioned them all, but it wont change the fact that 11 (yes that is 11) years ago (or 16 if we take 1999) the cars were faster. If you dont move forward you are moving backward. For sure we have hybrid tech and all gizmos but where is the thrill?

I dont know why there cant be a way for the FIA to make these cars a bit faster. It is not a problem of going faster just for the sake of it but I cannot help it to look at previous years and it kinds of make me sad everytime.

I guess i am just an old grumpy F1 fan that uses forums to spit my anger at the FIA :)

Hahaha you are not the only one...

Lewis blocking a lot, he seems not very confident with the braking.

Interesting to see Mercedes vs Ferrari through the sectors. Mercedes only guys doing 33´s in the middle sector.
Ferrari faster through S1 and equal in S3.

I know its all set up related, but later in the season Ferrari might actually win a race on merit. Maybe Monza?

Difficult to say at this point. That would be very special but most people seem to think the Mercedes engine still has an advantage so with their low downforce package I can still see them having a margin.

Rosberg on RTL:
Reporter: - Looking at FP3 times Ferrari are just 0,5 sec. away from you ... are they a threat to you?
Nico : - No, not at all ... (and then give him a big smile) :)
So the are turning the engine for qualy and that`s it folks

Didn't watch FP3 but:
- Rosberg in front, that can't be right ;-)
- Merc is still winning easily
- Lotus is now half a second behind Toro Rosso and half in front of no aero/tests FI? I hope they're running engine at 50% because pipes are falling apart. Fear not for they have Palmer in China to "develop the car" as one of five brilliant team principals put it.

What a photo op at the end of Alonso's final lap there! Amazing shot with the lightning coming down in front of him and reflected onto the nose!

lol classic malaysia. Biggest looser surely raikkonen. Eliminated on the spot in Q2.
Also there's a very clear trend emerging in 2nd sector which is all downforce. Merc is 0.5s faster than ferrari, red bull and TR (!!), all of whom are in separated by 0.05s trough there, but then they both (RB and TR) lose serious amount of time trough S3, which is all power.

Ferrari has got some serious grunt going on in their PU:
