So I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a raikkonen victory on pure race pace, from a second place grid slot.
The rumours are presumably based on what someone has heard from someone in Ferrari or they're based on wishful thinking. Until they hit the track it's all just whispers in the wind.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kimi get a win or two this season. Always had a soft spot for him since his early days. He was quick and hungry for success back then!

reading some of these posts you would think mercedes has finished 1-2 in every race this season.
let me say this .. the person that starts on pole has a distinct advantage in this formula .... thats the only person with pace in hand.
somebody needs to get the memo to rosberg to tell him that he needs to use some of that pace he has in reserve lol
With the updates all teams are bringing, it's perfectly possible the advantage will increase, but just as possible it will decrease, and the rumours about Ferrari's package are that it is quite significant.
Mercedes are bringing aggressive upgrades too. Last year showed they had very good correlation in their wind tunnel as most of the parts stayed on the car. I predict no change.

Well, the typical super exaggerated "statement" from an Italian source. 70%....come on...

23 degrees seem to be a little bit low, Barcelona is usually hot in May. When I have been there the "real" temperatures are usually higher.

Anyway I take a Mercedes victory for granted.

Too much talk by Arrivabene... just hope that it does not fall on his face. Let the results do the talking. First let the updates produce the desired result then talk..foolish

So he is supposed to lie about the amount of changes? All he has confirmed is that there are a lot of changes available to be bolted on to the car. He hasn't said anything about them working or mentioned any tenths info as well.

He can be reliable or not but is it possible to change 70% of a car after 4 races? Only if you interpret parts and changes differently. Front wing 25%, rear 10% floor 15% etc. and only if partial modification counts as a completely new component. Marketing =P~ .

Might be foolish, but presumably he has access to all the data, so sounds promising.

Really don't understand anyone taking a Mercedes victory for granted. Whether or not they win, seems illogical to assume that the small advantage they held in Bahrain couldn't possibly be overcome by the season's biggest upgrade.

mercedes has brought big news in the second test in Barcelona and cina..ferrari levels of aerodynamics is quite similar from the first test so is not impossible to think that most of the cars will be profoundly changed

Absolutely possible to overcome such a small advantage, provided Mercedes has stood still in the time frame in which Ferrari has managed to change 70% of their car.

There is also the rumor around Red Bull bringing a totally new car, which as one blogger has estimated, might fetch them close to a second in performance. If that turns out to be true, that should put them right in the similar position to what Ferrari is with respect to Mercedes, behind Ferrari.

Come on McLaren Honda, we need you POKING YOUR NOSE in front with these guys. [-o< [-o< [-o<
