Ferrari is not chasing a new front wing if I am correct, they are happy with the one they have at the moment..

I think they would bring new front wing with new nose.
Like Lotus will be doing. Which makes sense.
Lets wait until LP2 begins but it is weird. And they were saying that the car had 70% of new components...

And RBR a 2s disadvantage.
Could it be that Barcelona simply amplifies existing differences in max Performance. Merc has been insanely quick in single lap pace all year. It's more about carrying that pace over a full race distance which seems at times more difficult for them.

If you go by FP1 session results STR are 3 tenths slower than Ferrari.

Both the Ferrari cars were lower in the speed trap and Mercedes at top which is different from last races where Mercedes was lower and Ferrari on top.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

Hamilton had slipstream at some point during FP1. So much top speed advantage is not in line with what we've seen this year so far. Especially because williams is also much lower than them.

FP1 is not the place to make those judgements : ) ferrari was also running their #1 engine which was taken out of race rotation after China

I feel Merc has something special going in their favor which remains unexplained now, if the engine performance is to be the reason then there is much others can really do this season,
My real concern as a F1 fan here is that we do not get to see true racing... apologies for my frustrations !!

That's Lotus for you, car is falling apart yet they "aim" for fourth based on nothing, put Palmer in a car, Grosjean in a part time F1 driver position and start media smearing campaign against Maldonado because he decided to drive in FP. Failed new nose crash test is his fault too probably.

Publicly and practically working against their own drivers is a tradition at Lotus and one of the pillars of their failure. At least they might admit it was a mistake in 2016 like with 2014 and firing engineers [-o<.

How much was track temp in Malaysia again? 60?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

pirelli press release page http://www.pirelli.com/corporate/en/press/?

they do some nice post race info. Actually pretty hard to find track temp info and things like that on past races. Malaysia had 61.4c max, 53c min track temps during the race.

So significantly higher than currently in fp2, not sure if temps are expected to be higher for qualifying/race or not. Track temp up to 49C currently.

Now is when I smile when I read old forecasts saying that the temperature was going to be 22C. :D
