Like it, not sold on 20% skinnier rear tyres but overall :D

Yes, full venturis and sliding skirts, like this;

Note the negative lift front winglets, amazing.

Thanks!

So Murray thinks increasing venturi tunnels and decreasing wings would improve overtaking... where did I hear that before? :mrgreen:

I´m not sold about the narrower tyres either, but you must admit he has a point when explaining that would increase braking distances and there would be more differences between drivers so overtaking will be easier

I don't like making them narrower. Make them smaller but keep their proportions.

The key to venturis is sliding skirts, anyone want to see them back?

You don't need sliding shirts when you have active suspension.

I doubt if active suspension is that fast?

Yes, you need them. Active suspensions keep the height constant, while shirts seal the venturi tunnel so they´re more eficient trying to avoid air enters the tunnel from the sides as much as posible

I think the key to the sliding skirts were the ceramic contacts,but I wonder how long they lasted?

I think that sliding skirts are a not secure technology which is better to not use again.
Moreover I think that the progress in the design in the last 30 years is able to create cars with effective ground effect (with Venturi channels in the side pods) without the use of such devices.

If front and rear ride height (and thus rake) really would be constant they could use basic carbon fins/walls instead of skits.

True, that´s what I was thinking about, didn´t realice sliding shirts are that, sliding so height is variable
