I apologize to everyone for being horribly wrong about Friday, 3 weeks ago I thought it was going to be damp. I was right about Saturday and so far looks like the Sunday prediction was right as well. I shall strive for more accuracy next time.

My prediction for Abu Dhabi is dry every day. A prediction anyone else with a sense of geography could also make.

Is this what Toto meant when he assured us that this battle would go on to the last race of the year? Is the Technology in F1 so advanced they can control the weather?

The last race/s we had with cool/showers condition gave us a Rosberg finish of 7th and 5th places.

A similar result would mean that either driver would be in a must win situation to win the title. That would spice up the ratings for what's usually a boring Abu Dhabi.

I mean Trump wins the election and and F1 controls the weather, it does all seem very much like a simulation.

At the moment it looks like intermediates would be appropriate for the start. With drizzle throughout, I get the feeling someone brave enough - and with nothing to lose - might win this by persevering on dry tyres later on.

That's the thing though. Virtually all forecasts conclude the rain, when falling, will be light. They also suggest it will become more sporadic later in the day, so I think its possible the track will become dry enough to support dry tyres at some point.

I'm really looking forward to this, whatever happens.

*Edit - if they were to start now, the team Twitter consensus suggests full wets to begin with. Two queries:

1) How well does this place drain? My knowledge is it doesn't drain well at all.
2) What sort of starting procedure are they going to follow? A rolling start behind the safety car would be massively contentious!

I wouldn't go that far, I'd say that since the southern hemisphere is experiencing spring time at the moment, and Sao Paulo is almost right smack dab near the biggest rainforest in the planet, it's almost a given that it would rain. Then it's only a matter of observing current conditions, using a few simulations, and making an educated guess based on a variety of factors.

I don't believe anyone is controlling the weather but I could be wrong, it is an eerie coincidence that things end up this way, but what can you do?

Will Buxton just said something that's strange but true. Nico Rosberg has never won a wet Grand Prix.

Some Qualy speed traps:
Raikk 338 Kph and Vettel 333
Rosberg 338 and Hamilton 335
Ricci 330 and Verstapp 326
And also bearing in mind S2 times IMHO Vettel and Verstapp are somewhere with a mixt setup or more towards to a wet race

Is it me or it`s a deja-vu race from 2008 when a Ferrari pilot won (Massa and now could be Vettel) and title leader has had something wrong so Rosberg could and his luck and end the race or out of the points, or just after a collision with Vettel, Verstappen, Lewis or someone else ? Why not? We could see in Mexico a sign : in the rest room Nico by mistaken took the no.1 Pirelli cap but was corrected by the steward - don`t know his name - and finally took the second position cap ...
So everybody is saying Nico will win but with this weather we could see a 2008 ending, with Nico with no points and Lewis winning the championship with just 6 points collected after and eventfull race.

Why not this could happend again? There are good signs today ...
