And now it's revealed that an 'unwell' Hamilton pulled out of the Abu Dhabi Test... :wtf:

Cue Mr Wehrlein stepping in to replace him, again.

Does anyone know what camber angles they will run next year for front tyres? Can we see some teams going for extreme angles while some go less extreme like this years setup?
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

A BIG improvement.
Extra drag is a bad thing? Why exactly?
As if you could possibly tell at this stage whether or not racing will be better or worse.

Go out and get some sun and fresh air. All this negativity is doing you no good.

Tyres look great but I can see more wheel bumping and rear tyres getting clipped by front wings next season. Interested to see if turn 9 in Barcelona will be flat in winter testing.

Did they were using wet tyres? they should take at least 5-6 days to improve them, with more downforce there should no be excuses to see better wet races next year.

This is weird. Is this really true is it a way to protest against the team?

It would be a big improvement if they put a proper front wing, not that fugly giant snowplough.

And not a ridiculous A1GP http://www.slotforum.com/images/A1-GP/2 ... _HiRes.jpg
And regarding the drag, FIA's own researches and other serioius studies showed that we should reduce the drag, not only that induced by the wings but also the tires etc, for many reasons.
And what about the weight? 7222 kilos? come on
And yes this might make the racing worse, many insiders aknowleged that, including Charly Whitting who even said that's no problem as long as we can use DRS and shitty tires to enhance racing.
And how can a purist and tech guys like you defend these changes? they are superficial and rushed and costy.
There is plenty of reasons to be negative about these rules if you love f1. F1 could choose a better way. They could study other interesting alternatives.
Unfortunately, F1 yielded under the pressure of some fans, the gp organisers, the marketing people etc.
And do you think the big teams like RBR and Mclaren voted these rules for the sake of sport? lol no they want it because it suits their raky aero philosophy and their large FW. Even Force India became more consensual and docile in the strategy group because 2017 suits them.
But this is OT.

so wait, let me get this straight;

Image

the front wheels aren't alligned with the outer part of the rear wheels, but with the inner part?
meaning, the rear wheels stand outside of the front wheels? that can't do well for handling?!

i mean, i can see the rear wheels sticking out compared to the front wheels.

or is this just optic illusion?
