Loved Alonso in the press conference.

He sounds so focused that it is a crying shame he finds himself for the 4th year running in a car without he necessary power to fight. (Ferrari 14, MCL 15,16,and seemingly now 17).

He is pulling no punches and he is being honest right to the core of these issues.

Loved his quote about not simply writing off the opening races- a clear message to Honda that not only do they have to get it right, but that they have to get it right fast.

This isn't the Alonso of 2007 here. There is no drama queen or antics here. He's coming out fighting as a double world champion who wants a crack at a 3rd title. He has impressed me more in these last 4 years than at any point prior- he's been brilliant in adversity and no one thought he'd stand and fight. He could leave F1 for all sorts of options tomorrow, but he has a passion for one thing.

Come on Honda, for the sake of the sport and the show, sort it out.

I think he is totally committed to this project because its his last chance to win another championship, he will "die fighting" for sure.

Can anyone recommend a good website to see pictures of the cars being built over the days before the race like those which used to be posted here?

Maybe short fragments? I hope they atleast put a stop in that inhuman hunting down of short videos about F1. I even remember that videos shot by fans got removed.

F1 has its own YouTube channel (Is it an official one..I dunno)
Maybe we are lucky but I doubt it.
I only have Internet TV at home, but not a subscription where I can record the practice sessions right now, which sucks
Would be mega epic if Liberty brought out an Internet Streaming service (much like Netflix or something) dedicated to F1 (like the NFL, MLB and Lucas Oil Motorsport apps available on App stores)

Tyre allocations are by Pirelli for the first 5 races of the year, so to use an F1 cliche "it's the same for everyone..."

7 sets; 4 sets; 2 sets

From Australia to Spain, teams will have identical tyre allocations: seven sets of the softest compound available, four sets of the middle compound, and two of the hardest compound. In Australia, these are ultrasoft, supersoft and soft (in order).
