He's had two poles in the best car and his teammate who's just joined the team has been close behind in Australia and China, to beat him after 3 races is very telling IMO. Vettel has destroyed Kimi and had two first row starts in the second best car, Seb has been on fire so far.
Go back and look at your posts since winter testing, you have been literally praying for a bad Merc to see Hamilton go down. So no wonder you are all over the place at the first available opportunity to bash Hamilton. It's ok, we have seen plenty like you.

I still don't understand how Seb is a star? Because you like him? He has no poles this year, in a car that was supposed to have been the better car than Merc (Remember your winter testing posts? "Is Mercedes in trouble", "It's all over the place at turns"). He got lucky to win first race. Yesterday he was a distant third. In which world is he on fire. Vettel was outqualified by the same Kimi last year, consistently. OK now don't start with excuses on this one.

Lewis has lost poles in the past too. He made a mistake and lost pole yesterday. Bottas did not do any and won the pole.

In all honesty I'm a Hamilton fan and a disappointed one at that, I expected more from him tbh and in my eyes he's not been too impressive. Hopefully today he has a stonker of a race, sorry for letting my emotions get the better of me.

Can we the language in check please? I understand what you are trying to say, but I am sure you are long here to understand that, regardless of the amount of warnings served, we will always get into this situation. Best is to simply delete those posts and people will get even stronger message. Aggressive words can only flare up people. Thx.

I miss the old mods like Richards and Leeds.

Ham, Vet and Rai have chosen to ride with more oversteer, what will save the rear tires. This is also something Toto admitted and others here said.

If this is true, Bottas will go thru his tires like he's driving paper instead of Rubber. It will cost him a lot of time or even a 2nd / 3rd stop...

No Di Resta said Bottas looked like he had more front end than Hamilton, even if he has I don't think it was done purposely.

Here we go again #-o
- Wishful thinking . I've heard car set up for qualifying excuse here in '15, was it Mexico? Check sector times - identical so at least gears, engine not a factor.
- Bott or Ham or whoever might be slower in the race, on one or the other compound (Aus) but not because of some magic set up difference. Conditions tend to be slightly changeable in the night race, tyres a bit of unknown.

- Race should be between one or two stops. There is some pace difference but S better for race, some other factors: overtaking, SC.

- Ferrari should be quick. My reason for them being behind: track least affected by '17 changes. Sectors don't say much, they lost a bit more in the 1st one which could be anything: engine, braking or just set up, tyres, e. cooling, updates, they have one driver so it might not be his best track which amplifies the difference.

Toto never mentioned Ham and understeer, he said the Ferrari drivers had understeer so might be easier on their rears in the race.

There was almost no wind in quali, race will be slightly cooler (~26°C vs 30°C) with 8m/s NNW wind with gusts, meaning tail wind on the main straight

About 30 kph gusty winds? Those are more difficult than a constant wind of the same speed.

Any predictions? I somehow feel its gonna be Bottas ahead of Hamilton and Vettel.

Would love to see Ric up there, but i also want Kimi to do well, since i see hard times ahead for him if not. Then again, even if he does well, he will probably still remain under pressure.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

On the longer runs Lewis looked quicker then Bottas, he needs to get past him first though.

Ferrari will make a race of this for sure but I don't think it will be Kimi, he just doesn't the car in the window right now.

They were pretty even on the SS, but on the S Ham was miles ahead.
