Bizarre how quick Alonso was able to go at the end. Certainly the track was rubbered in more then when the rest set their best times, but none the less an amazing effort. Vandoorne thinks to have unlocked speed but he's yet to show it.

He was setting timed laps, doing a 1:24 one lap then a 15 the next.

It looks very close between the teams. Race pace with a full tank is in the 17's and 16's for most people.

What was VET complaining about HAM?
He said Lewis was making mistakes and then backing off in-front of him, and throwing off his long run.

... based on S2 times and the fact that in FP2 on the first part of the race simulation stints Bottas did 335km/h in the speed trap, Ham 332, Kimi 327 and Vettel 326 and that accordingly to the F1 app ... then after Max incident Merc changed their rear wing DF level (or engine modes) and Bottas this time did only 323 and Ham 322 ...

You gain more by sacrificing a little in sectors 1 & 3, and gaining in sector 2. You do this by piling on the rear downforce, and trimming the front.

Does anyone know which tyres Hamilton used in FP2 race sim? Thanks! :)
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

In FP2 Bottas was on S tyres when he did his fastest time being only one and a half tenths slower than Ham running on SS tyre ... He did the same 8 lap race sim stint on that time, although we don`t know which engine mode or fuel he had
Could anyone tell me here which delta is between US-SS and S tyres?

Not sure why Mercedes didn't run 2 sets of US in FP3 like Ferrari, they had 6 sets left. No point saving extra sets for qualifying because you cant make changes to the car during this time.

Cheers, mate!

Unlike FP2, quite an uneventful FP3... Oh well, hopefully Q will sort that out...
