The gun situation in NASCAR is a bit of a farce right now. Why did they even make the decision to change everyone's setup?

Why though? Was there an airgun development war happening? I never heard anything about it before.

When would a racing team leave the smallest stone unturned for time? Of course there was an airgun development war, F1 had one as well, a war that was causing injuries to the wrists of the gun men, so they had to regulate the max air pressure.

This. NASCAR teams were spending hundreds of thousands on wheel guns between dev and race by race rebuilds.

Though, NASCAR turned it into a SNAFU

I've seen the indycar guys throwing their guns over and sometimes into the pit wall, do the Nascar guys do the same?

I agree that the guns in NASCAR take a lot of abuse from being thrown around. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
