I don't think anything will change, several teams have been doing it since the beginning of the season.

Kubica was running a completely different programme; trying to figure out what's wrong with the car by making very odd and unreasonable setup changes in hopes it would reveal useful information about the car.

Red Bull seem to have been lacking downforce, so were sliding and wrecking their tyres in the high speed corners. They'll have to change approach for tomorrow, otherwise they might get lost.
At this point, pole is looking like a straight shootout between Merc and Ferrari.

Another thing, this is a track that fights back. It actually bites chunks out of any driver that nods off at the last corner, so drivers prone to off moments; Grosjean, Magnussen, Vettel, Max etc better beware.

I don't know what all the rave is about vettels long run, Bottas did a 1min 8.2 and 1min 8.0 around 10 laps into his ultra soft stint which was 4 tenths faster than anything vettel managed and towards the end of vettel stint it did look like his lap times dropped off. I think Ferrari should be worried.

Vettel started his long run on Ultras which already were 12 laps old. Did you consider that?

Vettel was driving to a delta on both compounds, Merc's weren't. Also, dropout was too sudden on those last laps, looks more like traffic. Merc's laps are hectic af, traffic was a big issue, it's a short and fast track.

Laps on softs are pretty similar for Ham and Seb and also Valteri's on super softs.

I think they are quite close to be fair.
Maybe a tenth between them, so it will be Q that will make a big impact. LH seems more on it than Vettel, but we shall not rush.
