But this is at the Nürenburgring Nordschleife still pretty darn fast. Nearly 1 minute faste then the old record, wich was from Stefan Bellof in 6:11:130Noetiepoerker26 wrote: ↑29 Jun 2018, 10:54Now, that is FAST!

Definitely, that would be amazing. Why wouldn't they think of that? Look at how everybody talks about Porsche now. That surely is an advantage for the brand, I would say.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2018, 11:25It'll never happen, but wouldn't it be good to see Mercedes or Ferrari do the same thing with a current F1 car - take the aero and PU beyond the rules and see what such a car is really capable of. I wouldn't be surprised to see the record fall again.
Yes! Anytime your limiter is 229 mph and you're bumping into it on something that is more of a closed public highway than a modern FIA track, then you're doing something special. Delicious. The second seat in the LMP1 car was just to accomodate Bernhard's balls!Andres125sx wrote: ↑29 Jun 2018, 23:11
Hitting the limiter at 368km/h for hundreds meters in that narrow straight while the car is pitching front-aft heavily due to the bumps must be stressing
There are some fast and blind corners wich are really scary at that speed
