With those sector times Bottas could have done a 1.03.313, it looks like Mercedes has the upper hand going into Q3.

Bottas does seem to like this track.

Big advantage for such a short lap, the "new" Mercedes is scary indeed.

Hamilton too. To pretty much ace it after being under pressure. Bottas needed that lap though to get pole and he delivered. Nice. Vettel did well too considering the pressure.

I really want to see Ham vs Bottas in the race tomorrow.

3 tenths to Ferrari on such a short track. Where are the tire arguments now? :P

Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Kimi crossed the line with few seconds left in the session, why didn't he go for another try?

Party is over this year. 3 tenths on this kind of track, with massive advantage on the high speed corners. I don't see ferrari challenging mercedes in many tracks ahead.

2 great laps from Bottas, Lewis and Seb put themselves under a lot of pressure in that final run and did well in the end.
