Loving Kimi even more right now!!!!
Kimi was allowed to pass via strategy, which is good for getting by Bottas.

But to have Vettel fight for the position is plainly wrong...

They did it too late, it was stupid. Vettel couldn't make good use of his new tires and probably wore them behind Kimi.

Lets not kid ourselves, Vettel is miles faster than kimi at this stage, not least due to 11 laps younger tires.

Being Hamilton, would you keep risk driving those tires? Pirelli having random explosions when stretching the tires too far. If the rain comes a bit later, the risk is huge.

Why in gods name didn't they wait for the rain?

EDIT: Mercedes are ******** idiots. #-o
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

No, they would understand how crushing it would be to have a blow out and risk not finishing.

The tyres were obviously down to the absolute limit of safety and they had to be changed. Hindsight is an exact science too.

I'm not convinced sorry. The tires didn't look bad at all. Certainly not bad enough to be afraid of a blow-out. Seemed like they didn't want to tell him to let Bottas by...

Because they're not able to see the future. You seriously think that if they knew the rain would come the following lap that they would have pitted hom when they did??

They had to make a decision, they couldn't just keep waiting for the rain and Hamilton was holding up Bottas at that point.

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Should have covered Hamilton off with Raikkonen. Now Hamilton wins.
